CRCT begins Tuesday, April 21st

Kids writing

CRCT is next week. Please make sure your kids get to bed early and have a nutritious breakfast in the morning. We will begin testing at 8:15 each morning and we will test until about 10:30. Your child will not be allowed to take the first section of the test if they are not at school on time. They will have to wait in the Media Center until we are finished. Make-up testing will be done with a school counselor or administrator. Your child is going to do better on this test in their own classroom rather than an unfamiliar setting. Again, please have them to school on time these five days!

The order of the test is as follows: Tuesday, 4/21-Reading, Wednesday, 4/22-Language Arts, Thursday, 4/23-Math, Friday, 4/24-Science, and Monday 4/27-Social Studies. We have been doing CRCT test prep in class and I hope everyone has been working on Study Island at home. The user name and password for this program came home on a half sheet of paper before Spring Break. The following link is more CRCT test prep.

Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable time with their families during our wonderful holiday break. We have had a great couple of weeks back at school. We are back in the swing of things and your kids are working hard.

I look forward to seeing everyone during Conference Week (Jan.26-Jan.30). I have scheduled everyone's conference and will be sending home the information in the Thursday Folder this Thurday. Please sign and return the form on Friday. Please do all you can to come in and meet with me about your child. We only have one set confernece this year and I would love to sit down with you and talk about your child. Thank you in advance for making the time to come in. FYI-You will get your child's report card at their conference.

We have a few classroom needs/wants. If you are out and could spare a couple of dollars we could use the following: #2 pencils, wide ruled notebook paper, post-its (any color), skittles and gummie lifesavers (both of these are used for participation in class) and light bulbs. Thank you!!

If you have not paid for our upcoming field trips (Cobb Youth Museum and The Zoo) please pay as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Happy Thanksgiving!
